Personal trainer shines light on food intolerances with 'bloat baby' Instagram post
Before-and-after photos are par for the course among Instagram fitness personalities, but Elena Arathimos has just shared one that’s a little different to the norm.
On Monday, the personal trainer, who boasts 114,000 followers, posted two photos of herself: one taken in the morning before breakfast, and one reflecting how she looked after eating "most foods".
The key difference between the images lies in Arathimos’ stomach. In the first it looks muscular and toned, while in the second, it protrudes over the waistband of her bikini.
“Bloat baby is real!” the trainer writes in her caption, before explaining the reasons for her stomach symptoms.

“I will try my best to get to the bottom of this. I will also keep you updated with what I find helps me keep the bloat baby under control,” she tells her fans.
“Wow! Imagine walking around with a flat tummy after you eat! Not having to change your outfit to accommodate the bloat! And man, it’s fricken painful at times too!”
Arathimos also asked any followers who also suffered from bloating and food intolerances to share the advice that had helped them manage it.
