Team Australia arrived in Paris just days before the Olympic Games began and wasted no time getting to know their new surroundings in the Olympic village - and took fans back home along for the ride.
Since that moment, athletes have been posting Instagram snaps and TikTok videos of what really goes on when they're not on the field, in the pool, or kicking goals and the results range from fascinating to hilarious.
Now, it has all come to an end with the closing ceremony - but that doesn't mean our athletes have stopped posting.

Cheeky trick Jess Fox has been playing on Olympic tourists
Aussies know her as one of our most beloved – and decorated – Olympians, but Jess Fox has been playing a cheeky trick on tourists who don't recognise her at Paris 2024.
In a video posted to Instagram after the Olympics' closing ceremony, the gold medallist revealed she gets a kick out of walking by tourists visiting the Olympic village who have no clue she's actually one of the athletes.
"Hehe none of you realise a couple of Olympic gold medals walked behind you," she wrote over the clip.
She filmed it as she was moving out of her accommodation and likely had her medals in her luggage as she passed the crowd of tourists posing by the Olympic rings – not that any of them had a clue!
The Aussie closing ceremony moment that never made it to air
Boxer Tina Rahimi revealed how Team Australia headed to the closing ceremony at Paris 2024 in a cheeky TikTok, and it's no wonder these celebrations didn't make it to our TV screens.
Aussie athletes belted out songs like I Am You Are We Are Australian and Down Under, which they blasted out across the Olympic village with portable speakers, before shouting "Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi!" together.
Breakout (pun intended) Olympic star Raygun also made a special appearance, performing her signature kangaroo move as she was held aloft in the cheering crowd.

A poignant message in the Team Australia building
As swimmer Jenna Forrester farewelled Paris 2024, she revealed a poignant message written on one of the walls in the Team Australia building.
Printed in large letters on an artistic map of Australia, the message read "Once an Olympian, always an Olympian."
Speaking about her experience in the caption, Forrester wrote: "Its always bittersweet when a major competiton comes to a close.
"I have so much appreciation for this team who I have spent the last [seven] weeks with. You guys are the best. I have made so many incredible memories, and created some of the best friendships!"
What our champions see in Paris
All of Australia's medallists were incited to appear at Champions Park to show off their victories at Paris 2024 and pose for incredible shots like this under the Eiffel tower.
It looks very impressive from a distance, but our golden girl Jess Fow revealed in a TikTok that it's even more awe-inspiring for the athletes...

... because this is the incredible sight that greets them when they take to the stage.
As well as having amazing views of one of Paris' most iconic landmarks, every athlete steps out to the sight of about 13,000 fans all packed into the stands to cheer their victories.
Fox called the sight "just magic" on TikTok.

What happened moments after Meg Harris' silver medal
Meg Harris was photographed wiping away tears as she accepted her silver medal following the Women's 50m Freestyle Final at Paris 2024.
It was an emotional moment for the 22-year-old swimmer, who has moderate hearing loss in both ears, but things got even more emotional seconds later, as she stepped down from the podium...
... and ran into teammate Jenna Forrester's arms, the two women jumping and hugging and screaming with joy.
Forrester shared a sweet behind-the-scenes video of the tender moment on TikTok, captioning the clip "When one of your besties wins an OLYMPIC MEDAL".
Fans flooded the comments section with crying emojis and messages of support, voicing how emotional they were watching Harris' silver medal win.
"I fully cried when she saw her family, that was so cute," Forrester revealed in a comment of her own.
Visits to the Olympic village salon
Australian gymnast Ruby Pass has shown off her dramatic transformation after a visit to the salon at the Olympic village.
Sharing a before and after video on Instagram, Pass wrote that "hair holds memories" and captioned the clip "fresh start".
She then revealed her long blonde tresses had been snipped off and styled into a chic long bob (remember when the 'lob' was a thing?) and curled, all for free at the Olympic village salon.
And Pass wasn't the only Aussie Olympian rocking a new look...
... fellow gymnast Emma Nedov showed off her haircut on TikTok, where she recorded scenes of her and Pass heading to the salon together for a free trim.
Like Pass, Nedov opted for a shorter cut, debuting a chic curled bob as she returned to the Team Australia building in the clip.
