Gold medallist's toddler adorably disrupts her post-win interview at Olympic Winter Games
Italian speed skater Francesca Lollobrigida may have won big at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, but her son didn't want to hear anything about it.
The 35-year-old nabbed a gold medal in the Women's 3000m speed skating event, with the occasion made even more special by the fact the win took place on her 35th birthday, and that she became the first Italian woman to win at that distance, setting a new Olympic record.
She decided to celebrate her win by giving interviews with her two-year-old son Tommaso.

But when she spoke to Rai Sport about her win, Lollobrigida barely got a word out before her toddler started chanting "Mum" and covered her face, eventually grabbing her nose and shushing her during her own interview.
She did get a chance to share her feelings, telling the Olympics press the first thing on her mind after crossing the finish line was finding her son.
"I wanted to go straight to him, but they could not let me in that moment, and they were not going to hand him to me over the ice," she laughed as she told them.

Lollobrigida's sister was seen running with the toddler in hand, trying to get him to his mother, the outlet added.
Lollobrigida was glad the Winter Olympics are taking place in her native Italy.
"The Olympics are in Italy, my family is here, and I did not have to choose between skating and being a mum," she said.

Lollobrigida isn't the only athlete to bring her child along with her to work.
American Olympic gold medallist Tara Lipinski has brought her toddler to Italy while she works at the Olympic Winter Games.
The former competitive figure skater is serving as a figure skating analyst at Milano Cortina 2026, and has brought her daughter, Georgie, two, along to give her a peek behind-the-scenes of the events.

Lipinski posted photos of herself and her daughter on her shoulders in the street.
"Maybe I don't want to choose," she wrote in the caption of a post on Instagram.
"For so long, women weren't given that option. I want my daughter to see a mother who chases her dreams and shows up fully for her."
"I can do both, in my own way at the same time."
