Olympian Bode Miller and wife Morgan Beck post identical tributes to their toddler daughter

Former World Cup alpine ski racer Bode Miller and his beach volleyball player wife, Morgan Beck, have shared an emotional letter about the death of their 19-month-old daughter Emeline who passed away after a drowning accident, saying they hope to keep her memory alive.

The couple shared the identical letters on their official Instagram accounts along with a photos with their daughter.

"We want to thank our friends, family and every one of you who sent a message, said a prayer or donated for the overwhelming expression of support - we are truly touched and blessed," the letter reads.

"Our midwives started a gofundme campaign to raise funds and we intend to donate these funds raised to worthwhile causes connected to water safety education. We are inspired to make our baby girls memory go forth and help prevent as many drownings as possible.

"We will post more soon on our plans and efforts."

The couple shared the tragic news that their daughter had died after drowning in a pool in Orange County, California earlier this month.

People magazine reported that paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted CPR.

The Orange County Fire Department told the media outlet that the toddler was then taken to a nearby hospital where she was unable to be resuscitated.

Miller has previously posted a father-daughter photo on his official Instagram account along with the caption, "Thank you for all the love and support and to our midwives @lindseymeehleis and @courtneykellis for helping us find the support our family needs during this impossible time."

"We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this," he wrote.

"Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to its fullest everyday [sic]. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time."

In a bitter-sweet twist, just a few months ago, the pair announced they are expecting another baby in October this year.

The sport-star duo are parents to three-year-old Nash Skan and Miller has two children from a previous relationship, Samuel, five, and Neesyn, 10.

Miller is a six-time Olympic medallist (one gold, three silver, and two bronze).
