'What's the point exactly?' Woolies shoppers struggling to complete cookware collections in popular promo

Supermarket shoppers are in a frenzy trying to get their hands on the Woolworths' Fissler cookware range, which is out of stock in some stores.

There's a similar situation happening at Coles, where shoppers have just two weeks to complete their KitchenAid collections.

Suffice to say, it is bedlam in the grocery aisles as the two major supermarkets compete for customer loyalty with overlapping cookware promotions, with stock levels are adding to the chaos.

For Woolies and Coles shoppers who have been trying to get their hands on their chosen cookware range, there's nothing more annoying than an incomplete cookware set.

A Woolworths spokesperson has told nine.com.au they've "just ramped up stock levels across the country to keep up with demand."

"We know many of our customers have engaged with our Fissler cookware giveaway, collecting credits to redeem the pots and pans in stores.

"Most stores are now getting deliveries a couple of times a week."

"While the 20cm and 28cm frying pans are currently the most popular picks, the Wok is fast becoming the must-have item as more shoppers hit their points goals," the spokesperson continued.

"Our teams are working hard to restock shelves throughout the day, and we encourage shoppers to ask a team member if they can't find exactly what they're looking for."

A recent Reddit thread perfectly summed up shopper frustrations.

"What's the point exactly," the post began alongside a screenshot showing four Fissler products listed as "unavailable".

"Why am I collecting cookware credits when said cookware is out of stock in pretty much every Woolies near me?"

Woolworths kicked off their Fissler cookware promotion on March 18, with one cookware credit earned for every $20 spent in a single transaction. Customers have able to boost their balances by choosing participating items.

The range includes two stainless steel pans, a wok, a saucepan, a casserole pot, and a spatula. 20-100 credits are needed to redeem each items.

Fissler cookware credits cannot be redeemed online at Woolworths.

While you can earn credits through online shopping by linking your Everyday Rewards card, you must redeem them in-store only at Woolworths Supermarkets or select Metro stores.

The promotion runs until July 7.

Meanwhile, Coles shoppers have two weeks left to redeem items for their own cookware promotion which features KitchenAid products.

However the mini chopper has completely sold out and there is "limited stock" of the casserole pot left in stores.

A spokesperson for Coles has told nine.com.au: "We've loved seeing the excitement from customers for our KitchenAid cookware range, with pieces flying off shelves across the country.

"Customers can continue to earn cookware credits every time they spend $20 or more in one transaction in-store and online until 19 May.

"But with limited stock remaining, we encourage customers to redeem their remaining credits while they still can."

Coles shoppers are able to collect cookware credits via their FlyBuys memberships with one credit earned for every $20 spent, and some items serving to boost credits.

Coles kicked off their cookware promotion ahead of Woolworths on February 4 and it includes a kitchen utensils set, two frypans, a saucepan, a casserole pot, and a mini chopper

While you can earn cookware credits from shopping at Coles Online, you may only redeem the Cookware in store at a Coles Supermarket.

Shoppers who don't have enough cookware points for the Woolworths and Coles cookware items are able to make co-payments or purchase them outright, and cookware credits cannot be rolled over.
