'I'm freaking out': Shocking find in pile of garbage on the street

A "trash flipper" in the US has made a lucrative discovery while walking down a local street in New York.

The man, who shares content on TikTok @badjujudesign said he was walking home when he "saw this pile of trash with these cool strollers in it."

"A bunch of people were like, 'You need to go pick those strollers up so you can sell them, that's money.' I was like Money, let's go.'"

And his own Google search showed the pram was worth $2500 retail.

He described returning to the rubbish pile to see two others eyeing the pram, but managed to snap it up and take it home where he began making a plan to clean and refurbish it, with the help of his followers.

"Let me tell you, this thing was filthy, disgusting. But as I was cleaning it up and taking it apart, I found something," he explained in a follow-up video.

"Use leather paint n refurbish it," one suggested.

"Touch up the warm leather area with a wood marker the same colour lol! Easy fix," another said.

Then, while pulling the stroller apart he found US$20 ($31) and a ring!

"I'm freaking out. I'm going to take it to a jeweller."

His followers are eagerly awaiting the results of the jeweller test.

"I neeeed updates on this - ring really looks real to me, but what do I know," one commented.

Some suggested he try and find the owner and return the money and the ring.

"I literally just lost my ring like that. It hurt seeing this," one TikToker commented.

He then began scrubbing the pram to make it as clean as possible before touching it up and placing it for sale.

"I've actually talked to a couple of people who might come pick it up this week," he later shared.

"Yay, from trash to treasure," one commented.

The man has showcased multiple finds from his visits to piles of trash in his neighbourhood including a vintage tablecloth, bedroom side table and lounge.
