Bunnings has solidified its status as Australia’s most loved retailer, claiming the prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ title at the 2026 Roy Morgan Most Trusted Brand Awards.

The hardware giant has now scored three consecutive overall victories and maintained a top-three spot in consumer trust every year since 2019, a streak of customer loyalty that holds firm even as other major corporate brands suffer sharp reputational declines.

In addition, Bunnings has an unblemished record with eight straight victories as the ‘Most Trusted Retail Brand of the Year’ category from 2019 to 2026.

“The reasons Australians give for their high trust in Bunnings are remarkably practical ones,” Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said.

“They trust Bunnings for ‘low, affordable and fair prices,’ for ‘knowledgeable and professional staff,’ for ‘good quality products and services,’ for its ‘focus on the customer;’ and for an ‘extensive range of products that meets the needs of their customers’.

“Taken together, comments from Australians are not the ingredients of a campaign claim so much as a consistent experience, repeated often enough, and reliably enough, to become public confidence.”

Aldi has been named the most trusted in the Supermarket and Convenience category for a third year in a row. Levine noted Aldi had “consistently delivered a high level of trust in recent years and has now been recognised as Australia’s Most Trusted Supermarket for a third straight year”.

“ALDI’s strong performance is based on high levels of Trust, and just as importantly, low levels of Distrust which results in a high Net Trust Score overall.”
