Today reporter Mia Glover welcomes second child and reveals the newborn's sweet name

It's a girl for Today show reporter Mia Glover!

The Channel Nine personality has welcomed her second child with husband Paul Glover and revealed they named their daughter Winifred Glover.

Underneath some gorgeous pictures from the hospital, Mia wrote in her Instagram announcement post: "Aaaand she's here. Winifred Glover."

"Already calling the shots by arriving early. Winnie, you complete our world 🌍," she sweetly added.

Followers rushed to congratulate the couple on the happy news.

The news was also shared on the Today show on Wednesday, with host Karl Stefanovic calling Mia a "Queensland legend" when announcing the news.

"Our Queensland legend Mia Glover has given birth to a beautiful baby girl called Winifred Glover, what a beautiful name!" Karl excitedly said.

Sylvia Jeffreys said how cute Winifred is and added: "She arrived in a little whirlwind one week ahead of schedule, mum and bub are doing well."

"From all of us, Mia, Paul the whole family, we love you, congratulations, she is absolutely perfect. Look at those little cheeks!"

Mia is also a weekend news presenter for Nine News Queensland.

Mia and Paul share son Albert, four, and recently celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary.

Before heading on maternity leave, Mia told Stefanovic during a cross: "I'm big, let's just say that I'm very big and I'm ready to put the swollen cankles up."

She jokingly added: "I don't know how to handle a mini version of me, I don't know if the world's ready for it."
