Melania stands by President Trump after he ridicules female TV presenter on Twitter
First Lady Melania Trump has defended the US President after he labeled a female TV presenter “crazy” and said she had been “bleeding badly from a facelift”.
President Trump, who is known for his regular Twitter outbursts, posted the personal attack on MSNBC host Mika Brzenzenski yesterday - and was widely criticised, including by those in his own party.
Brzenzenski and fellow host Joe Scarborough
Brzenzenski co-hosts the channel’s breakfast TV show, ‘Morning Joe’, a programme Trump appeared on more than once during the election campaign last year. Now though he claims they are too critical of his administration.
“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore)”, he tweeted. “Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me.
“She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
The First Lady has now spoken out via her communications director Jeremy Diamond to defend the President.
“As the First Lady has stated publicly...when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder”, he told reporters.
Some have criticised Melania’s stance, saying she is condoning cyber-bullying - something she said she would campaign against as First Lady.
