Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may rent country villa in the Cotswolds
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may soon rent in the Cotswolds.
The royal couple, who currently live in Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace, are rumoured to be considering an old Roman villa in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, The Sun reports.
"The understanding is that Harry’s seriously thinking of taking on Beaconsfield Farm. It’s a right old mess at the moment though," a local told The Sun.
"It's full of mud. It’s a couple of barns I think. He’ll have to do it up."

The Sun's pictures of the farmhouse show pretty stone walls, slate rooves, and plenty of chimneys. It's classic Cotswolds – a picturesque part of the English countryside full of fields, hills and hedges, and favoured by celebrities as a welcome escape from the city.

One of these is Victoria Beckham, who recently (by all accounts), became friends with Markle.

The farmhouse is not far from fancy celebrity hotel and function centre Soho Farmhouse, run by another friend of Markle: Soho House director Markus Anderson. (And because no one in these kinds of circles comes without an interesting fact, you may remember he was linked to Markle and Prince Harry's first meeting.)

It's also just a stone's throw from Anmer Hall, the royal residence in Norfolk where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pass a lot of the time, and where Markle and Prince Harry spent part of their Christmas break.

The palace has not commented on the rumoiur, but if the couple do end up taking the countyside property, they'll be in good company.
