Martha Stewart shares flashback to her modelling days in latest Instagram snap

Martha Stewart has reminded us all that yes, she used to be a model, in the latest snap she has shared to her Instagram page.

Posting a pool-side shot of her gazing into the camera, Stewart pouted in her bathing suit in a pose some commenters said would give the Kardashians a run for their money.

"My pool in East Hampton is the place to be on a 89 degree day!" she captioned the photo, which sent fans into a frenzy.

Comments ranged from "Omg martha!!!!!! Va va voom!!!!" to "Gorgeous!!" and even "Kardashians could NEVER, Martha."

Known mostly for her cooking career, diehard fans of Stewart were quick to point out the 78-year-old had a history in modelling.

One shared a series of Stewart's old modelling shots on Twitter, captioning them: "Y'all know Martha Stewart used to model, right? She's been servin lewks since before the pool, lol."

While studying art history at Barnard College of Columbia University, Stewart dipped her toes into the modelling industry as a way to help pay her tuition.

She had already appeared in a TV commercial at 15 and went on to develop a broader portfolio in TV and magazines, even posing for the likes of Chanel.

"I got enough modelling jobs at $50/hour — which was a lot of money at that time," she once explained in a PBS documentary called Makers.

Though Stewart left the modelling work when she began her career as a stock broker, later moving through several industries before settling on food, the 78-year-old clearly still has a few skills up her sleeve.

Described online as a "businesswoman, writer, television personality, former model, and convicted felon" (because what can't she do?), Stewart is worth an estimated $640 million USD.

Stewart was found guilty in March 2004 of felony charges relating to insider trading and was sentenced to five months in prison.

She's spent the last several months self-isolating at her 153-acre farm in New York, where she fills her days with workouts on $3,000 exercise equipment, cocktails with her staff, and raising baby geese.

Sharing isolation updates regularly to Instagram, Stewart has shown off her cooking skills in her downright insane luxury home kitchen as well as shots of the vast grounds of her farm.
