Married at First Sight: Nic reveals secret rendezvous with Cyrell

Their relationship hit an abrupt end on Married at First Sight, but Nic and Cyrell appeared to be on good terms during the reunion episode, so much so that you'd be forgiven for thinking they were back together.

That's exactly what Talking Married host Shelly Horton thought when the groom stopped past the show on Monday night.

When Horton asked if he'd hooked up with Cyrell after the experiment, Nic hesitated for a moment, laughing nervously.

"We caught up, just to sort of give each other a bit of closure," he finally spilled.

"Then we had a few wines, and yeah, there was a sneaky little kiss there."

While Nic is now happily single and "cruising" along, Cyrell has moved on with another reality TV star, Eden from Love Island Australia.

"I'm happy for her," Nic said of his ex-wife's big news.

"Hopefully he's not using her for fame or anything like that. I don't know the guy, I've never met him but I hope she's happy."

During Monday's explosive reunion commitment ceremony, the Newcastle electrician found himself at the centre of the drama when his private conversation with Jessika was shown to the group.

Speaking to Talking Married, Nic maintained that nothing happened between them.

"I think we're both flirty people… it can probably come across worse than it is," he said.

"We never did hook up, nothing's ever happened… It's really frustrating that I have to keep defending myself and she's got to defend herself. Yeah we had our chat, but nothing happened from there, or before that or after that."

Well, there you have it. Case closed.
