MAFS Bride Jo confesses that watching her wedding was ‘very awkies’ in new Talking Married podcast

Scandals, sweethearts and sex lives; Married at First Sight has it all...and MAFS bride Jo just revealed some extra juicy gossip about her wedding day in an exclusive interview.

While she admitted that “My wedding day was exactly how I’d always fantasised my wedding would be,” it’s fair to say not everyone felt the same….namely, her groom: Sean.

While Jo was having the time of her life, Sean was freaking out.

The bride may not have had a clue at the time, but having seen her episode this week she admits that it felt a little difficult to watch.

“It certainly took my breath away a little,” she explained. “He [Sean] said it multiple times: “awkies” and watching it back was very “awkies”.

But hope is not lost...Jo revealed all about a secret zoo date between the couple, admitting that it was “a really lovely day and a highlight of the honeymoon”.

And when it comes to the public’s reaction, she’s surprisingly calm. “It’s just water off a duck’s back. If you don’t like me, no problems, I’m not everyone’s kettle of fish and we’re not going to have a problem.

“I’m loving the complete strangers supporting me, that’s actually blown me away. But if you don’t like me then that’s fine.”

Featuring a new bride or groom guest each week, Shelly will also be joined by Erin Willing, A Current Affair reporter and fellow superfan, Ashley Spencer, editor of TheFIX and Christian Wilkins, social media superstar and fashion enigma.

The podcast is launched alongside new 9Life show Talking Married, the first-ever TV show from 9Honey created especicially for MAFS obsessives to give you the inside word, and also starring Shelly Horton.

As the woman herself says, “I will be married to Married at First Sight, so let’s walk down the aisle together.”
