Former F1 star Marcus Ericsson announces engagement to model Iris Tritsaris Jondahl - after already marrying her
Former F1 star Marcus Ericsson and his long-time model partner Iris Tritsaris Jondahl are engaged - which may sound confusing, given the pair are already married.
The Swedish racing driver and Greek-Swedish model and actress wed in an intimate ceremony in April 2023, with Jondahl showing off their rings on Instagram last year.

But she only wore a wedding ring in the snaps she shared, and it looks like Ericsson has now added a proper engagement ring to her finger.
"We might be doing it backwards, but this is our story, and we are in love with every chapter of it," Jondahl wrote on Instagram when she revealed the new rock on Wednesday morning (AEST).
The couple announced their belated engagement with a joint post to her 24,000 followers and his 282,000 followers on Instagram, and the location Ericsson chose to pop the question seemed to hold special significance to his wife.
"Engaged in Greece," Jondahl captioned a stunning photo of Ericsson lifting her up for a kiss on the beach at sunset.
"The true beauty of life is that it gives you the chance to create your own unique story."
She also shared shots of her stunning engagement ring, which features a huge emerald-cut centre diamond on a band covered in - you guessed it - even more diamonds.

More photos in the Instagram carousel showed the moment Ericsson got down on one knee and Jondahl celebrating with family.
Followers were a little puzzled by the post, as most thought (correctly) that Jondahl and Ericsson were already married.
"Wait, I am confused? I thought you were already married? Either way, Congratulations!" one commented.

Friends and family who were in the know, like Swedish racer Felix Rosenqvist and American driver Connor Daly, responded with sweet messages of congratulations.
Ericsson and Jondahl have been together for several years and tied the knot on April 17, 2023 to much excitement and support from fans.
Ericsson stepped back from Formula One racing in 2018 and moved over to IndyCar in 2019, just a few years before marrying Jondahl.
