How to support March 4 Justice if you can't attend today's event
The Women's March 4 Justice movement, which has more than 40 rallies registered across the country, is calling for a change in Federal Parliament. It demands all politicians address and "put an end to the issues of sexism, misogyny, dangerous workplace cultures and lack of equality in politics and the community at large".
Marches are expected to happen all around the country, with Perth residents taking to the streets on Sunday and other states and territories planning events today.
While tens of thousands of people are expected to participate in the marches, others aren't able to attend. Still, there is plenty you can do to show your support for the cause.
1. Sign the petition
March 4 Justice has launched a petition and is asking supporters to sign it online before it is delivered to Prime Minister Scott Morrison during the march in Canberra.

The petition calls for "full independent investigations into all cases of gendered violence" as well as "timely referrals to appropriate authorities"; the implementation of the 55 recommendations in the Australian Human Rights Commission's Respect@Work report; the standing down of all "perpetrators" from positions in policy and law making; the ratification of the International Labor Organisation's Convention on Eliminating Violence and Harassment in the World of Work; an independent review into gendered violence in politics; a strengthening of the Sex Discrimination Act; the creation of a Code of Conduct for all Federal MPs; and mandatory gendered violence and sexual harassment training for all Federal MPs and their staff annually.
2. Donate
This week's marches are just the beginning of the work the organisation plans to do, and they are asking for donations to support that work.

A crowdfunding page has been set up to take donations, with the initial goal of $100,000 reaching almost $105,000 as of the morning of March 15.
3. Social media posts
Social media has proven a powerful tool for social justice movements and March 4 Justice is no different, with powerful images from the Perth event already garnering strong support from around Australia and the world.

You can either post your own images or messages or support those that have been posted by others. Supporting posts on social media helps them to appear in the 'feeds' of others, which serves to spread knowledge and education about the movement
4. Write to parliament
Never forget the power of contacting your local member as well as relevant state and federal political leaders to express your desire for change.

All members of government provide their phone numbers and email address on their websites and have a policy that requires them to respond to such messages.
Be sure to include March 4 Justice and its specific goals.
5. Organise a local event
By organising your own local event, whether it be a catch up with like-minded friends or a larger gathering, you are helping to show support and spread and discuss information.
You can also use such events as fundraisers for March 4 Justice.
