Happy Birthday Lisa. If we have to get a year older, we want to do it as gracefully as you.

The Today Show host celebrates her birthday today after another year kicking goals in all aspects of life. Between getting up at the crack of the dawn, setting the daily news agenda and putting our MPs on the spot with her tough interview style, she does more before breakfast than most of us do in a day.

These professional achievements were recognised this year when she was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for her contribution to media and charitable work — particularly, for her significant service to the print and broadcast media as a journalist and presenter, and to a range of youth and women’s health groups, including the mentoring of young journalists.

She also celebrated some personal milestones, after getting her fit hubby back, travelling the world, raising money for charity — it's safe to say 2016 has been another rock star year.

She proudly supported hubby Peter Fitzsimons on his weight loss journey. Lisa gushed on social media after her "formerly-fit footballer" shed a third of his body weight, after giving up sugar and alcohol. "I've got my old fit and healthy hubby back," she writes.

But, Pete's not the only one keeping fit. A youthful looking Lisa has also been keeping healthy. A five-minute plank? That's impressive at any age.

She dressed to impress — brightening our days with stylish outfits on and off the screen.

The proud mum got to spend some quality time with her kids, posting family photos with her three kids.

She used her profile to raise money for good causes.

She jet-set across the globe. From strolling the streets of Paris, watching the sunset in Greece and overlooking city in New York.

She maintained close relationships and friendships were her colleagues, including standing by co-host Karl Stefanovic during his marriage breakdown and celebrating the engagement of co-hosts Sylvia Jeffries and Peter Stefanovic. She and Karl also celebrated a 10-year milestone of working together.

She rubbed shoulders with Aussie favourites and Hollywood stars, from Renee Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey to the dishy Chris Hemsworth.
