Law firm looking to pay $55,000 for a personal dog walker

Dog lovers assemble! A dream role is officially taking applicants.

London-based law firm Joseph Hage Aaronson LLP is looking for a dog-walker.

The successful candidate will not only be expected to walk a furry four-legged friend daily, but they will also receive up to 30,000 pounds ($54,845 AUD) per annum.

The business claims to be looking for a "down to earth self-starter" to tend to a member of the senior leadership team's canine.

Previous experience as an assistant and proficiency in both errand running and handling dogs are prerequisites for the position.

The job description reads: "An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Assistant Dog Walker role to support one of our senior leadership team."

"We are looking for a down to earth self-starter who relishes variety and is looking for a predominantly non-desk based role as it will require this person to run errands around London."

In addition, the company is looking for a "highly organised" individual that is accustomed to an "evolving 'to-do list'".

The company specifies the canine in question is a "small dog" and will require someone to work from 9am-6pm, across all week days.

While the role claims to be a 45-hour a week commitment, it also stresses applicants should be "flexible" with their time.

The successful candidate will also be awarded a company pension, life insurance and private medical and dental insurance.

The role may seem like a dream position, but candidates were quick to point out some of the glaring omissions to the job description in the comments on Legal Cheek.

"'I earn more than this just simply dog walking and my hours are usually 9/10-4, I control my own working schedule and don't have to fit in around somebody's life," pointed out one user.

Others pointed out a breakdown of the job's promised salary only equates to roughly 115 pounds ($210 AUD) per day.

"This salary is not enough," another user said.

"What's the point in getting a dog if you are too busy to walk it. Foolishness," said another.

Still, one person believed it was ideal.

"That job is right up my street. How do I apply?"
