Kate Middleton channels Princess Diana in near-identical coat
Kate Middleton is stepping up her style during the royal tour of Sweden and Norway, and the Duchess appeared to pay homage to Princess Diana in a red checked coat.
Catherine, who is sporting a six-month baby bump during her European tour, joined her husband Prince William for an intimate tea party with Sweden’s Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and their children.

The Duchess wore a stunning red houndstooth coat by one of her favourite British brands, Catherine Walker. She paired the stand-out cover up with a simple pair of burgundy heels and a grab bag.
Meanwhile, twenty years ago Princess Diana wore a very similar style by Moschino. Her design, however, was worn with a black houndstooth skirt, two-tone heels and a red and black hat. Ah, the nineties.
This isn’t the first time Catherine has channeled her late mother-in-law. Aside from her engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana, the Duchess has been seen wearing her tiaras to royal events on more than one occasion.
And despite their different colourings, Kate often wears hues favoured by Diana: red and cobalt blue, for instance.
