"I pushed myself to the limit," she admits.

"I have an extremely unpredictable, hectic lifestyle. Sometimes my days are nights, and my nights are days. I'm up at 3am for flights, going to bed at 3am after commentary."

"I love working – I'm a workaholic, I'd say – took on every single opportunity because I love what I do, but I had no time."

In 2023, Dokic explained her busy schedule and her reliance on quick pick-me-up foods lacking proper nutrition saw her cholesterol and blood pressure skyrocket.

At the same time, Dokic was experiencing cruel online trolling about her changing appearance.

The combination made for an understandably difficult time for the star.

Since then, Dokic has made some lifestyle changes in an effort to feel her best and look after her physical and mental health.

"For me, the three most important things are mind, body and soul," she tells Australian Women's Weekly.

After noticing her weight loss, which came as a result of her health changes, Dokic says she has received "so many questions" about the transformation.

She took to her Instagram back in June to address the changes in her appearance clarifying the weight loss was simply a byproduct of her healthy lifestyle changes.

"This is about health and not size," she wrote in the post.

"Weight loss was not a priority, it's just a byproduct of looking after my health."

Despite the attention, both positive and negative, Dokic tells The Australian Women's Weekly it feels great to have "found [her] voice".

"To now have found my voice and to believe in myself and not care what other people think and have a really positive mindset – I never thought that would be the case."

And now she is using that voice to help others.

On August 31, Dokic will launch the inaugural Australian Women's Weekly Health Summit in Sydney via a video message.
