Jelena Dokic has hit out against fake rumours of her being pregnant with partner Yane Veselinov.

On Instagram, the 42-year-old shared a screenshot of a fake news story featuring a doctored photo of herself and Veselinov smiling and holding up an ultrasound photo.

The tennis star slammed the fake report, writing over the top of it, "Not true, fake news. The lengths some media and fake news will go to Photoshop or use AI and make up something that is so serious. Incredible."

"By the way this doesn't even look like me, so you could have at least done a better job with the photoshop," she added.

"Ridiculous but concerning of the world we live in and to create a fake photo like this."

It's not the first time the one-time Wimbledon champion has had to hit out at these rumours.

Just two months ago, she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself standing on a balcony near a tennis court with word written over the top.

"I am not angry, upset or even disappointed anymore," she wrote, "I am just done. I am removing myself from people and situations that don't bring me peace, safety, comfort and happiness."

While the post was clearly addressing toxicity in general, some interpreted it as evidence of a split with Veselinov whom she hard launched on Instagram in July.

The speculation prompted Dokic to set the record straight via Instagram.

"One day we are engaged, the next we are broken up and then we are married and then we are broken up again," she said.

"I can take it and I am used to it but that doesn't mean it's OK and that I should, and that others will feel the same and not be affected.

"I am always transparent and always honest about my life and if and when there is something to ever say, I will."

Dokic first went public with her new relationship on July 14, sharing a photo on Instagram with a man later identified as Yane Veselinov.

"You are my calm, safe, peaceful, and happy place. So glad I found you," she wrote next to the photo which shows the pair smiling widely posing for a selfie.
