Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are married! Billionaire Amazon founder ties the knot in Venice in 'wedding of the century'
The "wedding of the century" has officially taken place.
On Friday, Jeff Bezos, 61, and Lauren Sánchez, 55, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy, in front of a star-studded guest list that could rival any royal affair.
Sánchez posted a photo of the lavish affair on Instagram – a page which now officially bears the name Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

Her dress was everything as beautiful as everyone would have expected; she walked down the aisle in a fishtail Dolce & Gabbana gown complete with lace detailing on the décolletage and sleeves.
She completed her look with a stunning veil that draped behind her as she walked through the sea of celebrities.
Bezos couldn't stop smiling as he took his wife's hand, wearing a dapper suit and bow tie for the wedding event of the year.

The three-day affair is estimated to have cost some €40-€48 million euros ($71.7- $86.1 million), according to Reuters.
Venice tourism councillor Simone Venturini told CNN that the city was expected to profit some "€20-€30 million ($35.8 - $53.8 million) for the parties and organisations and the events" during the week.
Sánchez also appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine released after the wedding took place, where she discussed her upcoming nuptials some 170 days before it took place.
She told the publication that Bezos had "begged" to see the dress beforehand, "But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can't wait to see his face."
The dress took 900 hours of atelier work and features 180 hand-finished, silk chiffon-covered buttons, she told the publication.

The bride also praised her husband in the interview, saying: "Jeff hasn't changed me. Jeff has revealed me. I feel safe. I feel seen. He lets me be me. Like I said about Sophia Loren being unapologetically free, he lets me be unapologetically free."
The wedding marks the second marriage for both Bezos and Sánchez, who have seven children between them.
Sánchez has three children; 19- and 17-year-old Evan and Ella, from her marriage to Hollywood executive Patrick Whitesell and 24-year-old Nikko from a previous relationship.
Bezos, who is notoriously private about his family life, shares four children with his former wife MacKenzie Scott: three sons and a daughter.
The stars began to flock to Italy for the three-day wedding festivities earlier this week, kicking of with a pre-wedding reception on June 26.
The Kardashian-Jenner family, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom and Ivanka Trump were all been sighted in the crowds as confirmed guests.

Bloom's appearance at the wedding came amid multiple US publications reporting that he and Katy Perry have 'amicably split', and the Teenage Dream singer has not been seen with him in Venice.
Among the many starry arrivals were one couple we rarely see together in public: Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio and his model girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti.

When asked about he she felt to be marrying Bezos, Sánchez told Vogue: "More than the dress, I'm happy that I'm getting married and I get to spend my life with my best friend, someone who sees me, someone who adores me, someone who I adore.
"I am the luckiest woman on the planet."
The wedding may have been lauded as the event of the century, but it didn't come without it's challenges.
The couple were forced to change their wedding venue just days out from the three-day celebrations due to ongoing protests in Venice over the lavish affair.

Protestors claimed victory for the venue switch, after finding out their threats were successful.
The US tech billionaire and his fiancée were set to celebrate in the city centre, but reportedly moved their plans after the No Space for Bezos group threatened to fill the canals with inflatable crocodiles to block their A-list guests from arriving.

The No Space for Bezos protestors also shared their joy over what they were claiming as a win.
"We are very proud of this! We are nobodies, we have no money, nothing!" Tommaso Cacciari, from a group calling itself No Space for Bezos, told the BBC.

"We're just citizens who started organising and we managed to move one of the most powerful people in the world – all the billionaires – out of the city."
But while the group believe their threats have done it, local media in Venice is reporting that the venue swap was also due to security concerns, according to The Guardian.
Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka arrived in Venice on Tuesday, and security concerns were heightened after the US joined the war between Israel and Iran.
