It was in 2021 that Godley shared her cancer diagnosis.
In 2022 she explained she thought she'd beaten the disease, only for it to return ahead of a tour in February and March of 2023.
At this stage she was told her disease was terminal and incurable. Godley decided to embark on a final tour, which she has now been forced to cancel.
Her most recent posts have chronicled her ongoing treatment.
"New weekly chemo regime is absolutely wiping me out - trying to stay alive is important, and dealing with side effects is so bloody hard but thanks Scottish NHS and @Beatson_Charity @mariecurieuk and to all of you for your constant support through this really difficult time," she wrote.
