Ivanka Trump's home renovation plans revealed

Ivanka Trump and her family have revealed lavish plans to expand one of their homes in New Jersey, leading to speculation they'll live there after leaving Washington, DC.

The plans for an expansion to their "cottage" in Bedminster, an hour from New York City, show Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner want to revamp the house, which is in the grounds of the exclusive Trump National Golf Club.

The plans, revealed by the New York Times also include creating four courts to play the racket sport pickleball, a new heliport and a spa and yoga complex.

An extended master bedroom, new bathroom and dressing room, another two bedrooms, a study and veranda are also planned.

The pair face a difficult time if they return to New York City from Washington, DC, once her father leaves the White House, according to reports.

Plus, according to the plans, five more homes are planned for the site, as well as a general store, which indicates the couple could be planning to sell some properties.

Trump, 39, has previously revealed pictures of the home on Instagram.

According to Scenetherapy it started out as a one bedroom house, but has been added to.

They are currently renting a six-bedroom, six bathroom house in the upmarket suburb of Kalorama, for $20,000.

The family moved their children from their exclusive school in Washington, DC after complaints.

Before that, they lived in a $21m apartment on New York City's Upper East Side.

It was an upgrade of the $2m Park Avenue pad in the same building she bought herself after school. She listed it for sale for more than double a few years later.

The family appears to be preparing to say goodbye to the US capital, with the mother of three this week posting photos on Instagram of them visiting the city's major monuments.
