Ivanka Trump breaks her silence in gushing post about dad Donald Trump a day after his historic court appearance
Ivanka Trump has broken her silence a day after her dad's historic court appearance.
Donald Trump is the first former US president to be charged with federal crimes, with the Republican 2024 candidate pleading not guilty to 37 charges relating to classified materials.
On Wednesday (Thursday morning AEST) his daughter took to social media to share a range of images to mark her dad's 77th birthday.

"Happy Birthday, Dad," the 41-year-old's caption said.
"You are the most incredible father. Your love, energy and strength inspire me every day. Wishing you a year filled with the happiness you deserve."

There were some more recent images showing the former president on the golf course and with his grandkids, as well as some older images showing Donald in dad mode with baby Ivanka.

While her younger brother Eric Trump travelled with their father to the Miami federal courthouse on Tuesday, Ivanka shared photos from her daughter's Bat Mitzvah.
During Trump's presidency from 2017 to 2021, Ivanka served as adviser to the president, while her husband Jared Kushner was a senior adviser in the White House.
Since Donald's political downfall, Capitol riots and multiple court cases, the couple have kept a distance from him publicly.
"Even though Ivanka loves her dad, she knows how impossible he can be," a social source told People magazine earlier this year.
"Donald does what he wants, and she can't help him now," the source said.
"His help is in the hands of his lawyers and advisers. She is no longer working in that capacity."
