Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner pay their respects at John McCain's funeral
While Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner attended US Senator John McCain's memorial service on Saturday, her father and stepmother were noticeably absent from the proceedings.
Neither President Donald Trump nor his wife Melania Trump were invited to attend the service at Washington D.C.'s National Cathedral, with sources saying that the President went golfing instead.
While he was banned by McCain's family from appearing at the funeral, Trump was quite active on Twitter during the memorial.
As McCain's casket was carried in a procession from U.S. Capitol building to the Cathedral, the former Celebrity Apprentice host tweeted about some of his favourite topics: Russia, Hilary Clinton, and fake news.
During the funeral, he was threatening Canada, while leaving the White House to travel to his golf course in Virginia, Time reported.
