Interabled couple share stunning wedding portraits: 'True love captured'

After documenting their relationship on YouTube over the last three years, Charisma Jamison and Cole Sydnor have released the stunning photos from their November wedding.

With more than half a million subscribers, the interabled couple have skyrocketed to global acclaim with their channel 'Roll with Cole & Charisma'.

Now, fans are admiring their wedding portraits and the "true love" they capture.

"I think the photos really showed the raw emotion and captured the very special moments (of the wedding)," Jamison told TODAY.

"To have pictures that actually captured the true love and the emotions from that moment was awesome for us and for everyone else."

The Virginia couple, who have a combined following of over 150,000 followers on Instagram, shared photos of them dressed up and holding hands in manicured gardens, bright smiles on their faces.

"I literally, and I mean LITERALLY, feel like the luckiest man on Earth," Sydnor, who was rendered a quadriplegic following a 2011 accident, captioned the image

"I'm a married man, y'all, and couldn't be more excited for the rest of my life with @happilycharisma."

Jamison also shared a black-and-white portrait of the couple embracing, detailing their love in a heartfelt caption.

"As a young girl, I always knew I wanted to marry someone who truly loved me for me. I always searched for my idea of what love should be and ended up hurt every time," she wrote.

"I met Cole when I wasn't looking for a man. I met Cole when I had finally learned how to love myself.

"I met Cole when I finally realised I made myself happy and I didn't need a man to complete me. I met Cole at the perfect time in my life."

Jamison admits her now-husband wasn't what she "thought" her ideal man was - but instead is "everything I deserve and more!"

"I can honestly say I have never had a man love me so greatly. Who isn't afraid to be vulnerable and show his true emotions. A man who gives and doesn't expect anything in return. That is the kind of love we all deserve," she wrote.

"Sometimes people may not understand our love but if they felt it, they would. Love is love."

The pair first met three years ago, in what Sydnor labelled a "very millennial meeting story".

In 2011, Sydnor had broken his neck in an accident, resulting in a C5-C6 spinal injury that rendered him a quadriplegic.

While in hospital, Sydnor was exercising and participating in a community-based program while Jamison was working with patients.

Though he was never her patient, his therapist knew both he and Jamison were single and connected them.

After meeting at a charity gala to support the hospital, the pair followed each other on Instagram and took their relationship from there.

After a year-long engagement, the couple had to grapple with the impact of coronavirus, altering their big day to suit social distancing restrictions.

"We definitely cut the guest list, narrowing the numbers down dramatically," Jamison said. 

"We all distanced before the wedding, after the wedding, and during the wedding. We had masks, we did temperature checks. We took a lot of precautions."

Sydnor, who is immunocompromised, acknowledged a number of guests were in a similar health risk bracket, and was subsequently "very conscientious" of ensuring the wedding was safe for all people to attend.

"We were very, very worried about it and it's something that we took very seriously and fortunately, nobody has had any symptoms or other issues whatsoever. We are very grateful and feel blessed for that," he said.

A video of their "perfect" wedding has now garnered over a million views on YouTube.

The pair's dream honeymoon to New Zealand has been momentarily suspended as they wait for the pandemic to improve.

For now, they've taken another step in their relationship, adopting a golden doodle dog named Sophie.
