Aussie woman's warning after she 'nearly decapitated' herself in horrific incident with a scarf
An Aussie influencer has shared a terrifying warning to other women after almost decapitating herself in a freak accident.
Eli Moulton, who owns the dress hire business Plus One dress hire in South Australia, had been out at an event wearing a sleek black gown with matching scarf.
Sharing a video on her Instagram Stories afterwards, showing some dramatic marks on her neck, she explained she 'nearly decapitated' herself on her way home.

"A reminder for the ladies: REMOVE your neck scarves before entering or opperating any heavy machinery!" she captioned the post.
"Nearly decapitated myself getting the scarf tangled underneath the car on the way home."
The video showed Moutlon at the glam event, and then the painful friction burn around her neck from the scarf.
In text on the clip she wrote: "The dress that had me in a chokehold … literally".

The thick burn around her neck looks awfully painful and Moutlon went to hospital after it happened.
She posted an update in a followup video on Instagram Stories.
"Not even the Paris filter can help me," she joked in the caption, alongside a skull emoji.
"We are off to get this medically dressed – don't worry folks. My spirits are still high. Thriving and surviving."

The warning has clearly rattled her followers, many of them shocked that this had happened to her.
"Jesus El lucky you are alright! Must have been very scary. Hope the wound heals soon," commented one.
Another friend replied, "So so so glad this was not any worse, that being said my gosh, you poor thing!! So frightening & an extra layer you don't need with your beautiful small family and yourself babe."
"Eli! That is frightening. Looks sore too. Hope you are ok," commented another person.
Moulton thankfully is doing OK and saw the lighter side of it, replying that she was glad it didn't happen on the way there and ruin a good night out.
