In an encouraging bit of good news, online dancing sensation Amol Kamble has made a comeback after TikTok was banned in India.

Kamble, a 39-year-old police constable from Mumbai, was a viral creator on TikTok — his videos got millions of views — before the video-sharing app was banned.

In June 2020, India banned 59 Chinese apps in the country due to data security concerns, apps which included the popular TikTok, WeChat, UC Browser and Shein.

Kamble has since made a comeback on Instagram, where he showcases his "swagger" both on- and off-duty.

According to the BBC, Kamble's love affair with the performing arts began when he was a child.

He always wanted to be a professional dancer or choreographer and reportedly would spend hours in front of his television practicing popular dance moves.

Prior to joining the police force, Kamble told the publication that he used to perform folk dances with his older brother.

Joining the police force didn't stop his passion for feeling the rhythm, though it did mark the end of his professional dancing dreams.

At first, when TikTok was banned, Kamble was not sure what to do, though he has since found a home on Instagram, where he has made a comeback and often collaborates with other high-profile Indian creators.

His Instagram page now has almost 29,000 followers.

Speaking with the BBC, Kamble says, "I feel so good when I get messages or comments from people saying they find my videos inspiring, and that they are relaxing [when they watch] after a long day."

Comments range from a simple "🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌" to long paragraphs of compliments.

Kamble also gets recognised in real life, which brightens his day as much as his videos brighten his followers' days.
