The unlikely $25 buy that has shoppers in a frenzy over its storage potential

When looking for storage options most of us have only considered using a tool box if we're storing, well, tools.

But the untapped storage potential of the humble tool box has recently been discovered by many shoppers after the release of two and four drawer Tool Pro cabinets in pink and aqua.

The $24.99 miniature tool chest, which is currently on sale for $19.99 at Super Cheap Auto (prices correct at the time of publishing), is flying off shelves and going viral on TikTok.

Shoppers have also snapped up the four-drawer Tool Pro cabinet, which comes in the same colours for $29.99 (currently on sale for $23.99) each.

The most popular items people are storing in these cute tool chests are makeup, jewellery, hair accessories and skincare.

Ally Lucy Sydney managed to get her hands on both the two and four drawer cabinets and showed how she is using them in a TikTok video.

"You really need the full set and there's no waiting until christmas!!! selling out australia wide $29 & $24 from supercheap auto," she captioned one of her three videos about the tool chests.

Her first video about the tool cabinets has had 4.9 million views and hints that she purchased the tool chests after seeing a TikTok about them.

Another woman named Caity also posted a TikTok showing her love for the tool chests and her boyfriend who surprised her with both the two and four drawer aqua tool chests.

"You have no idea how happy i am," she captioned the clip.

The video received lots of comments about the tool chests being sold out.

"My man got me a pink one for my bday, some lady nearly threw hands at him for it," a woman said.

"We need more as soon as possible so sad I can't get it in pink right now," one commented.

"So happy I ordered the 4 drawer one before the sold out online," another said.

The TikToks featuring the products even have people overseas wishing they could access them.

"I need someone to send me this in the US…" one posted.

"Cries in Canadian," another wrote.

While the pink and aqua tool chests seem to be sold out, it looks like there are plenty of black and red ones left.
