Everyone hates putting in elbow grease to scrub something off the walls or floor, but one professional cleaner has found a tool that makes it so much easier.

Using the $4 scrubbing brush with scraper from Kmart, she explained in a TikTok how you can remove things like soap scum with minimal effort.

The brush features bristles that are strong, but not abrasive and a built-in scraper.

Sara Allan, owner of Housekeeping Heroes, said the brush is her new go-to for cleaning showers.

"I am a sucker for a multi-use tool, and this is it! It's also got an ergonomic handle!" she said in a Tiktok video she made about the brush.

"The bristles are really firm, but not firm enough that if you were to scrub a tile or in the grout, it would strip the seal or damage the grout in any way."

She added you could also use it on pots and pans or for a BBQ.

"On heavily built-up pots and pans, you can use it to agitate and use the scraper to remove some of that build-up that won't budge."

In the TikTok she showed how the scraper works effortlessly to remove soap scum off the shower floor.

Allan also loves using the $4.40 super fine steel wool from Bunnings for removing limescale from shower glass and rust from drains and toasters.

It's found in the painting section of the hardware store rather than the cleaning aisle.

It comes in a 100g roll that you can cut into smaller pieces from as needed.

"It's so delicate, a lot of people when they think of steel wool they just think of those real abrasive steel wool pads, they don't actually realise the grade of it [which is super fine or 0000]," Allan previously told nine.com.au.

"But the best thing is, it's so cheap and the other thing that I love about it is the fact that we're not exposing anyone or anything to toxic chemicals.

"So a lot of the time, like with rust, for example, a lot of the rust remover products on the market are really toxic so using something like this super fine steel wool, you don't even need a chemical with it as long as the pad is wet, that's all you need."

On her TikTok account Allan has shown how well super fine steel wool transforms a toaster from rusty to sparkling in 45 seconds.

The only thing added is water and rubbing the superfine steel wool gently over the marks.
