The clever junk drawer solution that gets all your odds and ends organised and easy to find
The junk drawer is a staple in most homes containing anything and everything from batteries to scissors and rubber bands, making the drawer an absolute mess by definition.
That clutter pile might be part and parcel of a junk drawer but it does make it hard to find things when you need them.
One woman has come up with the perfect alternative that allows her to see all of these items and keep them neatly stored in the one place.

Sadie Endicott showed off her hidden clutter cabinet in a TikTok video where she explained just how well the custom-made piece on the side of her ovens works.
"I love this space, it's so handy for things that I use frequently that are just constantly lost in drawers," she said.
"I have had someone ask if things get hot in there – no, this is on the side of our double ovens but it has a solid wall before and then we have four inches (10cm) of wall space so that's why we added this on."

The clutter cabinet features adjustable shelves as well as hooks for keys. It contains cat and dog worming and flea protection, lint rollers, torches, pencils, air freshener and bug spray.
"We just keep random things in here for now, it'll probably evolve over the years," Endicott added.
The only issue with the cabinet has been the mechanism that allows the door to open with a simple push because it's been installed at the top of the cabinet, meaning you have to push the door quite high up to get it open.

Those who watched Endicott's TikTok loved the idea, though one did question whether the well-organised items could be classed as clutter.
"Really that's clutter?" a woman asked, to which Endicott responded, "It used to be cluttered in a drawer.. now it's in a cabinet!"
There were lots of people who revealed in the comment section that they have a similar cupboard space but for other items.
"I did something similar at the end of my island but added outlets and it's a charging cabinet," one said.
"I installed 2 of these. I use them for spices," a TikToker wrote.
"I made mine a can pantry. no more searching," a woman commented.

I can still use several shelves for my books too," another said.
The clutter cabinet video has also inspired some to include it in their renovation plans.
"Absolutely love it! I was just planning this project with my husband earlier today!!" one said.
"I'm remodeling my kitchen right now and totally adding this feature," another commented.

If you can't install a clutter cabinet or change a space to make one, it is possible to have an organised junk drawer.
There are plenty of small containers in various sizes that can be slotted into the drawer so that items in the same category can be stored together.
Drawer dividers can also be used to separate the space while removable hooks, hallway tables and peg boards can also add extra storage for bits and pieces you need near the door.
