Professional cleaner's $4.20 cloth hack will change the way you clean your entire home

When it comes to finding a cloth to clean the home with, most of us reach for a cloth specifically designed for that purpose like a microfibre or dish cloth.

But perhaps we should be looking in the bathroom instead because one professional cleaner has found an alternative cloth that has surprisingly effective results.

Cindy Hendler recommends cleaning with an exfoliating face washer/wash cloth and showed how she uses them in an Instagram reel.

"They are super cheap and so handy around the house they work great for scrubbing and guess what? You can wash them and they last forever," she said.

"They're great for the stove, they're perfect for getting soap scum or toothpaste off a sink. You can also wet them and get pet hair off furniture super easy and so much more."

For an example of just how cheap exfoliating cloths are, the Balnea exfoliating towel is $4.20 at Woolworths.

It makes sense these would be good for cleaning given they are designed to be soft enough to use on the body while still being able to remove rough skin and fake tan.

Hendler confirmed exfoliating cloths don't scratch surfaces, making them perfect for removing soap scum from shower glass.

In another video, the professional cleaner showed how she uses them to clean glass shower screens by adding some castille soap and then rubbing the cloth in circles over the glass before finishing with glass cleaner.

The exfoliating cloth tip was a hit with Hendler's followers, including another cleaner who already uses them too.

One follower had a similar hack using a different item for cleaning, and it's even cheaper than the exfoliating wash cloth.

"What also works great for scrubbing is the net bags that fruit comes in,' they said.

Cleaning shower glass doors and screens so that they look crystal clear is one of the most common cleaning struggles people have.

If the exfoliating cloth hack isn't for you or you want something to maintain the sparkle in between cleans, a lot of people swear by keeping a dishwand in the shower.
