Kayla Itsines shares her advice for some of the most common fitness hurdles

We all know that moving our body is good for us, but sometimes there are just a few things that get in the way.

Whether it's feeling like you're short on time, you've got knee issues, don't like doing cardio with jumping, or you simply feel too sore to workout, these are all things that could be considered a 'hurdle' to your fitness routine.

Thankfully, Sweat trainer Kayla Itsines is here to help.

The international fitness superstar sat down with 9Honey to share her top advice to help overcome some of the most common hurdles when it comes to getting your workout in.

"I'm going to give you the top three that I always hear, and then what I do about them," Itsines tells us.

"The first common hurdle that people might struggle with is their work life balance with their fitness."

If that's the case for you, Itsines recommends scheduling two workouts each day – but don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds.

"You do not have to do two workouts, just allocate two times in a day, because you might miss the first one," she adds.

"Another common fitness hurdle is people coming to me and saying things like 'I want to get a great cardio workout in, but I don't really want to jump'."

There are some great low-impact cardio exercises you can do instead, that you don't even have to leave the ground for.

And if you're too sore to workout, Itsines says to try some stretching instead.
