Forget about your double unders and your cartwheels, because this Chinese 11 year old is about to put your skipping to shame.

Cen Xiaolin has set a new world record for the fastest skipping in 30 seconds, racking up an incredible 108 jumps at the Inter School Rope Skipping Championships in Dubai.

The rope (and his hands) goes so quickly that it's not even recognisable to the human eye.

If that makes you tired just thinking about it, Xiaolin also competed in the three minute event, completing a mind boggling 548 jumps.

The Inter School Rope Skipping Championships is pretty serious business. It involves nine countries, hundreds of skippers, a detailed rulebook, a medal ceremony for each division and even drug testing.

Skippers compete in a five by five metre wooden sprung floor, and there's even a category for freestyle skipping with moves named like "the fishermen release", the "caboose" and the "bell".

The 2015 championships were held in Dubai, with the Chinese team taking home an incredible 27 gold medals and clinching the team championship title. The 2016 championships are likely to be held in the USA.
