Fresh details emerge from Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis' wedding as Matildas stars celebrate the newlyweds

New details have emerged of Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis' Kristie Mewis' as their friends, family and teammates reflect on the sporting couple's big day.

Pictures from their nuptials have been popping up on social media, with the Matildas star and the American footballer also sharing fresh insight on Instagram.

For the ceremony, held in Kerr's hometown of Perth, Mewis dazzled in an off-white beaded gown which featured a corset bodice and a sheer skirt.

She paired the dress with white strappy heels and a long train.

Meanwhile, Kerr wore a black Hugo Boss tuxedo, wearing her hair back in her signature low ponytail.

The wedding was held at the idyllic Villa Dionysus, a Mediterranean-style property 30 minutes away from the Perth CBD.

The venue's lawn was peppered with white tables, elegant floral arrangements and a black and white checkered dance floor for the couple's celebration.

Kerr's father walked her down the aisle, holding Kerr and Mewis' seven-month-old Jagger in his arms.

Then Mewis walked down the aisle to join Kerr at the altar, where they said, "I do".

As they did, more than 100 guests watched on, including the athletes' teammates who flew in to Australia from all around the world for the big day.

Several of Kerr's Matildas teammates, including Alanna Kennedy, Caitlin Foord, Katie McCabe, Emily Van Egmond, Steph Catley and Mackenzie Arnold, were in attendance, with many of them sharing their own snaps of the big day on social media.

The guests all dressed to the nines for the occasion which appeared to be a black-tie theme.

Once the formalities were over Kerr, Mewis and their guests got to celebrating, enjoying a cocktail hour serenaded by saxophonist Tom Greble and later taking to the dance floor.

The Matildas stars appeared to lap up their time together, taking a number of selfies during the celebrations.

They then quickly got into party mode, taking to the dance floor with the rest of the guests.

The members of the Australian Women's football team also spent some time with Kerr's dad Roger Kerr.

They posed for a photo with him at the venue.

Kerr and Mewis got engaged in September 2023 and welcomed their son Jagger in May 2025.

They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest for the big day.
