Queensland
Mighty Minibeasts Insect Workshop
This creepy workshop is being held at the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum, and features bees and butterflies and spiders!

Feed the pelicans at Ian Dipple Lagoon
To feed the local pelicans, head to Ian Dipple Lagoon at Labrador. Pelicans love to eat fresh fish. It starts at 1.30pm and parking is free for two hours.

Winter Craft at Liverpool Regional Museum
It's the winter school holidays so a perfect activity is to visit the Winter Craft sessions at Liverpool Regional Museum where kids will be able to make polar bears, snow flakes and sparkling icicles.

Firelight Festival
The Firelight Festival runs in Docklands from July 1-3, and includes fire pits, light shows, music and plenty of delicious food and snacks.

Visit the eight-metre T-Rex at Myer in Melbourne these school holidays as part of their Jurassic World 'dino' experience.

Perth Airport Viewing Platform
Perth Airport has a special viewing platform which is sheltered and where families can settle in to watch planes take off and land. Bring your own snacks and kids will love watching the comings and goings of various aircraft.
