Woolworths Cinnabon Cake will become part of the supermarket's permanent bakery range from February 22.

This is exciting news for fans of the popular dessert that took the country and social media by storm.

The move follows a hugely successful limited run last year, which saw more than 55,000 cakes sold in just five days.

The demand was so significant, many stores sold out within hours of stock arriving, leaving fans bereft.

Donald Keith, Woolworths Bakery Merchandise Manager, told nine.com.au: "Customers have been asking about the Cinnabon Cake's return since the moment it left our shelves last year.

"The overwhelming feedback made it clear that a limited run wasn't enough.

"We've listened, and we're excited to finally make this iconic treat a permanent fixture in our aisles for everyone to enjoy year-round."

The Woolworths Cinnabon Cake features a light, fluffy sponge swirled with Cinnabon's world-famous cinnamon spice and finished with a layer of smooth cream cheese frosting, and is priced at $10.

This is the second successful Woolworths/Cinnabon collaboration.

The supermarket's award-winning Cinnabon Hot Cross Buns, named Product of the Year for 2026 in the Baking category, are also back in stores for Easter.

They sell for $5.50 for a pack of four.

Both Woolworths and Coles have invested significantly in their in-store bakeries, offering a wide range of artisanal-style bread, pastries, biscuits, cupcakes, and viral treats.

Woolworths sells mud cakes and sponge cakes as part of their core in-store bakery range, as well as carrot cakes, and a Woolworths Vanilla Cake with Biscoff.

At Coles, you'll also find a range of birthday cakes and cheesecakes as well as the Coles Red Velvet Cake and the Coles Finest Hand Finished Pistachio Cake.

Their ranges of hot cross buns this year are also extensive.

This year, Coles is selling its traditional range as well as two new flavour collaborations with Arnott's and Doritos – the Arnott's Mint Slice-inspired Hot Cross Bun and the Doritos-inspired Cheesy Jalapeno Hot Cross Bun.

Coles is also selling their popular Arnott's Iced Vovo hot cross buns this year.
