A woman has taken to TikTok to air her frustration over feeling "judged" for ordering a kids' meal off of the menu.

It's not uncommon for restaurants to set an age limit on their kids' menus, the most popular cut-off being 12 years old.

Despite this, many adults find themselves wanting to order off of the kids' menu, whether it's to receive a smaller portion when they aren't too hungry, save money or get a complimentary ice cream.

Many kids' meal enthusiasts have found they are not allowed to order from it, being asked to use the main menu instead.

One woman decided to cheat the system, ordering a kids' meal via room service to avoid being told no by a server.

"I'm in Japan right now, and I just ordered room service," she said.

"And the girl who brought it to my room, opens the door and she's like, 'Where's the kid?'"

"'You ordered off the kid's menu?'" she says, reenacting what the hotel employee said.

"Is it really bad if I order some chicken nuggets and, like, a pizza? Like, a kid's pizza and french fries?" she said.

The video was then overlaid with the text: "Is it illegal to order off the kids menu as an adult."

In the caption she wrote: "I feel judged."

The TikTok comments seemed to agree with her: "I hate when restaurants don't let adults order off the kids' menu like ik [I know] it somewhat has to do with reduced prices but I'll even pay extra for it i'm just picky," one wrote.

"I like the smaller portions in the kids menu," another added.

One user disagreed saying: "Nah ur an adult, leave the kids' menu alone."
