Just when we thought that the unicorn and rainbow food trends had gasped its final breaths, a unicorn burger bursts onto the scene and we're back on the bandwagon.  

For the uninitiated, the unicorn food trend is essentially any food item that’s been jazzed up with food colouring and cute accessories like fruit cut into shapes or mountains of pastel marshmallows.

We've seen everything from majestic unicorn toast to fat unicorn cakes. 

Does the food taste any differently? Absolutely not.

But it looks pretty on Instagram, and that’s more than enough to turn it into a fully-fledged food fad.

Some serious unicorn aficionados will even add a horn, ears or sculpted sugar to their creation. But this latest unicorn instalment takes thing back to basics.

This unicorn burger incorporates some mouth-watering flavours that come in all shades of rainbow. The bun is filled to the brim with fairy floss, popping candy, caramel popcorn and caramel sauce to curb a lifetime's worth of sugar cravings.

Sugar Wheels will be launching the unicorn burger at this year's food truck festival, Park Feast located at Bella Vista Farm.
