Uber's instruction to help prevent coronavirus spread
UberEats is taking steps to help prevent their customers from the spread of coronavirus.
Starting today, customers using the popular food delivery app can request deliveries to be dropped at their doorstep, instead of meeting the driver face-to-face.

This is particularly helpful for people in self-isolation, or those with weak immune systems worried about catching the virus.
Uber's CEO said many people would be relying on the food service as more and more people show symptoms of COVID-19, and remain inside their homes.

The government is recommending that anyone with flu-like symptoms, or anyone who comes in contact with someone who is sick, should avoid leaving the house until they can be tested.
There is also a mandatory 14-day self-isolation period for Australians returning from China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, and Italy.
Uber is also giving drivers disinfectant to help employees keep their vehicles clean. Any drivers who may have come in contact with the illness will have their accounts suspended until they are given a clean bill of health.
