Gordon Ramsay's daughter Tilly Ramsay has shared her go-to quick and easy mid-week meal recipe – one no doubt set to be a family favourite if it isn't already.

The 24-year-old chef, who is following in her father's footsteps after attending culinary school, tells nine.com.au one of her favourites is a "classic bolognese".

Ramsay explains the dish is perfect for freezing and can be reworked into a chili con carne or served with jacket potato.

"I would say my one of my go-tos at uni that I would make on the Sunday, I'd freeze some of it, keep some of it in the fridge, is just a classic bolognese," she says.

"I really don't feel like you can go wrong with that. And there's always ways you can change it, so you could add some kidney beans, serve it with rice, and it's like a quick chilli con carne.

"You could serve it with pasta. Sometimes I even served it in a jacket potato. You can change it up."

Ramsay also says you can't go wrong with quick and easy soups.

"It's probably because it's just winter, and it's dark, and it's cold [in London], but I'm loving tray-roasted vegetables, blending it up, and having a delicious soup and a cheese toasty," she says.

The chef tells nine.com.au she uses her mother Tana Ramsay's bolognese recipe.

Speaking about her love of cooking, after recently attending culinary school, Ramsay says she loves that food and cooking can "bring people together".

"Cooking has always been something that I've really enjoyed, and I've got to watch it from a young age when both my parents were working at home, growing up, and just cooking dinner every day," she says.

"I really enjoy creating something that people can enjoy together, and I think that's what's so amazing about cooking is it brings people together from all over the world.

Ramsay is celebrating the release of her stylish new dinnerware collection for Royal Doulton, which includes bowls, plates and mugs in a series of eye-catching pastels, which she describes as a "real passion project".

"I wanted to translate something that was fun and bought life to the dinner table," she says.

"I'm quite a bubbly – some would probably say loud, my parents would say loud – person. I definitely wanted to change it up from quite neutral-coloured plates, to something a little bit younger, a bit more fun."
