The best bubbles to pop at the stroke of midnight
While the last few years have presented numerous opportunities for the nation to "get on the beers" – at the reopening of pubs and during Zoom weddings — New Year's Eve is the day to crack open the champagne and ring in another turn around the sun.
Whether you're celebrating with loved ones or simply sipping away another year of COVID-19 taking over our lives, there is a right drink to pour in your glass – and two experts revealed their top drops.

Sebastian Keys, a wine retailer and owner of boutique natural rosé Doom Juice, says selecting something to open at the stroke of midnight is as simple as picking an expensive, a cheap and an all-Australian bottle.
"For an expensive bottle, pick the French champagne Jacquart: they're a top grower producer and made by one of the best female champagne makers in the business," Keys told 9Honey Kitchen.
"A prosecco-style wine like Mezza di Mezzacorona is better for your cheaper variety, and it's from Northern Italy."
Keys notes the wine is "sustainably certified" and "super delicious" in an Aperol Spritz cocktail if you're that way inclined.

If you don't have a special someone to share a New Year's Eve kiss with, with the Borachio "Pash Rash" Pinot Noir Pet-Nat is a great alternative.
In short, it's "super tasty".
"I love natural wine like Britney Spears loves Juicy Couture," Keys said.
Mark Pollard, the Wine Director of Naked Wines Australia told 9Honey Kitchen that after the year that's passed, "sparkling" wine is your go-to drop.
"It's time to push the boat out!" he says, adding, "I would recommend Jean Philippe Moulin Champagne – the man behind Ruinart – for half price."
"Another top pick would be the Jen Pfeiffer The Rebel Bubbles; this is a really great, fun, celebratory drink to see in what will hopefully be a happier New Year."
If you're hoping to start 2023 hangover-free, Pollard says "water" is the best drink of choice.
"However, the lower alcohol wines – for example, the Hunter Semillon, is a great lower alcoholic option. Try the Fuzzy & May Hunter Semillon, made by Damien and Jodie, who have a special affinity with the grape," he adds.
"Ultimately, you should drink what you like and make sure you pace yourself and stay hydrated with water!"
The director of the online wine retailer knows a thing or two about a premium bottle, but breaking it down to picking something special in particular, Pollard simply says, "after this year, anything you like is special!"
