The wait is over: Iconic Cheeseburger Pie now available at Woolworths

Tasmanian Bakeries, the home of National Pies, has announced its cult-classic Cheeseburger Pie is now available at Woolworths.

This follows the recent success of its return at Bunnings Warehouse cafes earlier this year.

Now, the popular pie will be available to Woolies customers across Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, and select locations in New South Wales.

The pies will be sold in a twin pack for $8.50 and can be found in the refrigerated or ready-made meals aisles.

First introduced in 2022, the Cheeseburger Pie quickly became an overnight sensation and set records as National Pies' best-performing limited release.

Demand was so strong, it even outpaced the brand's iconic Classic Beef Pie, selling out across Bunnings Warehouse Cafe locations within weeks of its debut.

Tasmanian Bakeries brought the much-loved pie back for a limited run at Bunnings Warehouse cafes in March 2026, where it once again proved to be a standout among customers, who clamoured for their chance to try it.

Tasmanian Bakeries CEO Geraldine Tebbutt said strong demand for the Cheeseburger Pie at Bunnings paved the way for it to be made available to a wider audience of pie lovers.

"Making the Cheeseburger Pie available for consumers to enjoy at home has been in development for some time," Tebbutt said.

"Its recent limited run at Bunnings Warehouse confirmed for all of us that the timing is right.

"We're hearing more and more that convenience and quality are key when it comes to home meal preparation, which is why the Cheeseburger Pie can be found in the refrigerated or ready-meals aisles."

The pies are delivered direct to Woolworths, fresh-sealed from the Tassie bakery and can be baked at home in an air fryer or conventional oven for just 15 minutes.

Tasmanian Bakeries uses a unique air-removal packaging technology designed to lock in bakery-fresh quality for longer, which allows them to be delivered directly from the Hobart bakery to Woolworths without being frozen.

Cheeseburger Pies are made using 100 per cent Australian beef, a signature dash of tomato sauce and American-style mustard, as well as dill pickle juice and cheese sauce.

This is all incased in the brand's famous 128 layers of crispy puff pastry, and each is finished off with a topping of poppy seeds and a sprinkle of savoury parmesan cheese.
