A brutal note has been found on a packet of supermarket butter chicken, leaving no doubt as to the shopper's thoughts on the product.

The note has been left on a package of Coco Earth Butter Chicken with Naan, which is sold in Woolworths.

"Sauce OK!! Chicken like eating old rope," it reads, "naan - inedible unless you like eating rubber."

However, one person points out: "I can't think of a single form of bread that can be microwaved and not turn out horrendous."

"Gotta agree... I was between jobs recently and bought a bunch of cheap meals to tide me over (and stop me ordering out all the time...) and the store brand curries from both Coles and Woolies were pretty gross," another shares.

Another recommends some of the Coles meals.

"I find the Coles $3 frozen meals pretty decent - at least the vegetarian ones like Mac and cheese, pad Thai etc," they write.
