Subway unveils a new limited edition festive cookie

Subway has announced some hugely exciting news ahead of the holiday season.

The Aussie-favourite franchise is releasing a brand new cookie flavour just in time for the festive period.

Subway has revealed its limited-edition Choc Orange Cookie, a delicious seasonal treat with a hint of orange zest.

The Yuletide cookie will be available at Subway stores in Australia and New Zealand from Monday, November 25th. However, get in quick because it'll only be around for a limited time.

Subway has returned the festive-themed cookie after the success of its Choc Mint Cookie last year.

The Choc Orange Cookie blends rich chocolate with bright bursts of orange that taste just like the holidays.

Though the franchise is best known for its footlong sandwiches, the name Subway has just as often been mentioned in conversations about where to get the perfect cookie, thanks to its signature crisp edges and soft, melt-in-your-mouth centre.

Baked fresh in-house daily, the new Choc Orange Cookie joins the Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Rainbow, Double Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Cheesecake and White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies.

Subway sells an average of two cookies per person per year across Australia and New Zealand.

Subway's Director of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand, Rodica Titeica, said because the Christmas cookies were so successful last year, it seemed only right to introduce a new flavour.

"While we might be best known for our subs, our cookies are the sweet sidekick that have won hearts across the country," she said.

"To bring back another festive flavour after last year's incredible success is the ultimate way to keep the 'Cookiemas' spirit alive," she concluded.

The Choc Orange Cookie is available for a limited time only from November 25 until sold out.
