How to make chocolate and strawberry milk in 10 seconds using an empty jar

It's 10pm and the craving for a good old milkshake hits you like a truck. You rummage through the fridge to find something to satiate your craving, only to find an empty jam jar. Resigned, you shut the fridge door, ready to succumb to another night trying to forget what your stomach really yearns for.

But what if I told you that in just 10 seconds, you could have the strawberry milk of your dreams? All it takes is that very empty jam jar you disappointingly put back into the fridge and a little bit of milk.

As seen in a tutorial made by food influencer Carleigh Bodrug, all you need to do is pour some milk into the empty jam jar and give it a good shake to get all the strawberry goodness to mix into the milk, not only using up the last dregs of jam but also cleaning out your jar.

Commenters were impressed with the simple hack.

"I said it before and I'll say it again …. GENIUS," said one.

"Why have I never thought of that!" one wondered.

Some commenters had other suggestions.

One shared a simple recipe for a strawberry vinaigrette: "I add olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic powder a little salt and pepper to pour over my salad."

"Also works with empty peanut butter jars!" a commenter added.

Another version of this hack involves putting warm milk into an almost empty jar of Nutella and vigorously shaking to dislodge the Nutella stuck to the sides of the jar, creating a deliciously easy hot chocolate drink.

Commenters also had some suggestions to make the choccy milk better.

"I did it and added Baileys," said one.

"Or add milk, shake then put in the freezer for Nutella ice-cream," said another.
