Arnott's just announced its biggest biscuit change in 50 years
Arnott's Australia has announced a major change to an iconic range, set to hit supermarket shelves.
Arnott's Shapes are launching a new range of Shapes called Shapes Light & Crispy. This is the most significant change to the Shapes range in its 50-plus year history.
The move comes after research commissioned by Arnott's Shapes which showed nearly half (46 per cent) of Australians are currently trying to balance healthy choices with treats.

"It's an exciting evolution for the Shapes brand, and a delicious new way to enjoy Shapes, while still delivering that iconic Flavour You Can See on a lighter & crispier oven baked cracker."
Shapes Light & Crispy will be available nationwide at Coles, Woolworths and Independent Retailers this month, with an RRP of $4.00.
Arnott's Shapes are one of Arnott's Australia's most popular biscuit ranges, coming second only to Tim Tam. They are Australia's number one savoury biscuit. Shapes also come in gluten-free.

Arnott's Australia discontinued two Shapes flavours in 2025: Shapes Four n Twenty Classic Meat Pie and Shapes Fully Loaded Bueno Beef Taco.
Shapes were originally created in 1954 by Brockhoff Biscuits, which later merged with Arnott's.
The original flavors included Savoury, BBQ, Chicken Crimpy, and Onion. By 1973 the four main flavours being advertised were BBQ, Cheese, Savoury, and Turkey.
Pizza Shapes launched a year later in 1974 and quickly became a national favourite.

In 2016 Arnott's Australia faced major backlash when it changed its recipe to bake the flavour into the biscuit rather than coating them.
Arnott's later restored the original biscuits following customer demand.
