Speaking to The Today Show, Shake Shack Head of Operations Jourdan Perez has now answered the one burning question on every Aussie burger lover's lips.
When asked whether the joint would be finding a home in Australia any time soon, Perez was quick to raise our hopes.
"We'd like a permanent fixture here," the founder confirmed.
"We just wanted to get a pulse check on how Aussies would respond to Shake Shack, and the response was strong, so we are very excited."

But hold your horses Aussies; Perez revealed that while the response to Shake Shack has further solidified plans to open up shop here soon, they were also in "no rush" to do so.
But if the numbers are anything to go by, its clear that Aussie customers are hotly anticipating that outcome.
Shake Shack wracked in over one thousand sales for their signature burger – the ShackBurger – on day one alone.
The famous New York-based restaurant chain boasts 262 stores in the United States, and 142 internationally, but this long-awaited pop up marks the brand's first foray into the Australian market.

And according to Tennis Australia's head of product growth and innovation Fern Barrett, the brand's involvement at the prestigious event has been a year in the making – and is a strong signal of more to come.
Barrett said the Shake Shack team had "fallen in love" with the Australian Open upon first passing through last year.
"They've obviously been thinking of coming to Australia for some time now and this is the perfect platform to do so," Fern Barrett said of the potential opening.
"We showed them what this event is all about and it's fair to say they fell in love with the vibe and the energy."
If you're looking to be the next to try Shake Shack, you'll have to be quick.
The popup can be found in the Topcourt area by the Entertainment Stage for the duration of the competition.
