Bec Hardgrave, a viral food creator, has revealed her clever trick to eliminate this step completely.

Instead of attempting to cut through rock-hard refrigerated lollies while simultaneously trying to not melt the chocolate that encases the ingredients, Hardgrave enlisted the help of an ice tray.
Usually, once all of the rocky road ingredients are mixed together, they are placed flat on a tray and put in the fridge to set before being portioned out.

Hardgrave didn't even need to mix her ingredients together. Instead, she placed them in a large silicone ice tray, poured melted chocolate over the top, and let them set.
Once the chocolate had hardened, she effortlessly popped out pre-portioned rocky road servings without all of the mess.
Viewers rushed to the comment section of her TikTok post to praise the helpful trick.
"Wait this is so smart because the cutting up of it is the worst part haha," one user wrote.

Users were also impressed with another hack hidden in her video, involving a simple and mess-free way to melt chocolate.

Instead of covering multiple bowls with immovable chocolate in the melting process, Hardgrave simply tossed the entire block into a saucepan of boiling water and let it melt in its packet.
To pour the chocolate over the chopped ingredients in the ice tray, the content creator cut the corner of the packet and used it similarly to a piping bag.
Making rocky road is getting easier and easier, with another simple hack trending on social media.
Called 'rocky road cups,' the recipe is a cheat's version of the classic rocky road and lets dessert fans whip up a quick, single-serve sweet treat with minimal effort.
The recipe involves cutting up the typical rocky road ingredients as you usually would –think mini marshmallows, chopped biscuits, raspberry lollies, chopped Maltesers.
You could also try the 'rocky road cup' method for an easy single serving of the treat. TikTok
Once all the lollies are chopped up, combine them in a cup, cover with melted chocolate, and mix. Then, it's ready to eat straight out of the cup – no need to wait for it to set.
The recipe can also be made to serve several people but is also perfect for a single-serve treat.
It's been made countless times, attracting massive amounts of attention on social media, with posts racking up hundreds of thousands of views.
