Product of the Year Awards announce winners for 2025 with $20 Kmart item taking out top gong
Aussie shoppers have cast their votes for the top Australian supermarket products for 2025.
Product of the Year is the world's largest consumer-based awards program, now in its 16th year in Australia. More than 5000 Australian shoppers have voted for their favourite supermarket products via NielsenIQ survey.
The Product of the Year winners for 2025 include major brands such as Coles, Woolworths, Nestlé, Koala and more.

Kmart's range also featured for the first time with their Hard Anodised Non-Stick Frypan being given a nod. Product of the Year 2025
Kmart's Anko range also featured for the first time with their Hard Anodised Non-Stick Frypan being given a nod. The cookware item retails for $20 for a 24cm pan and is available in a wide range of sizes.
Shoppers found Woolworths was the leading retailer with the best selection of fresh, healthy, and organic products, with Coles closing the gap.

Affordability played a key role in the 2025 winners. Product of the Year 2025
Customers are also increasingly turning to home brands. Product of the Year 2025
New research by NeilsenIQ for Product of the Year has shown majority of Aussie shoppers have affordability in mind when shopping.
They are also saving money by giving up their favourite treats including chocolate and desserts.
Others are skipping cleaning products to leave more money for groceries.
Coles and Woolworths have won 23 out of 34 categories for Product of the Year 2025, with their home-brand offerings proving popular.
Product of the Year Director, Sarah Connelly, said the winners demonstrate Australians prioritising "fresh, whole foods, easy cooking solutions and innovation to home brand products, such as recyclable packaging, perhaps indicating a shift to stores catering to a younger generation of shoppers.
"This is shown in winners such as the Woolworths Cook Slow Cooked Traditional Beef Roast with Garlic & Herb, Coles Overnight Chia Pudding- Berry & Coconut, and Woolworths Fresh Milk, now with recyclable packaging."

And supermarket reward and loyalty programs are proving popular with shoppers struggling to make ends meet.
The most relevant changes to grocery shopping have been having better rewards and loyalty schemes when shopping (60 per cent) and increased product ranges for convenience and so being able to get everything in the one place (52 per cent).
